The Cathedral Avenue House, overlooking Rock Creek Park in Washington DC, was designed by architect, Errol Adels, with renovation of the interiors being overseen ten years later by Jackie Chalkley in collaboration with Thomas Pheasant. The high ceilings and sculptural, light-filled space made this a perfect home for the art loving purchasers. Room design centered around the art to make it the focal point for all other furnishings. Updated living quarters included new baths with ebonized walnut cabinets, etched glass doors, honed marble tiles and Dornbracht faucets. A fireplace in the bedroom and walls of custom shelving for the display of craft objects and books enhanced the comfortable enjoyment of the private living area.
